Life's a Pitch SB2 : Initial Ideas

Individual Ideas

Idea 1
Launching an online platform engaging multi disciplinary creatives with a space to collaborate. This would be run alongside monthly design speed-dating events.

Solves the problem: lack of collaborative opportunity.

Idea 2
An exhibition engaging with the public which encourages the audience of the exhibition to give or leave feedback.

Idea 3
A live exhibition that gives creatives tips on a day to day basis - displayed in a public space.

Group Ideas :
- Mindfulness exhibition - creating space and using it e.g. yoga classes, talks
- Quick fire workshops - meet people with not too much pressure
- Mini foundation course
- Celebrating typefaces and submitting work
- Design speed dating

Group Discussion:

Could these ideas be combined?

Idea generation workshops over the course of 6 weeks e.g.
- type
- illustration
- practicing designer - Steve Hockett
- GIF

Can the idea be refined to one event instead on a 6 week course?

Pros
One event gives more flexibility
More people are likely to attend

Cons
Less of a relationship can be built

Think about:

What skills and services do you have to offer individually and as a group?

Great time management, organisation and quick sketches

Who is your target market?
Uni students

What form will your event take?

What are your costs, budget and financial considerations?

How will you structure your group?

Who will be responsible for what?

How will you promote your event? To who? Using what media?

Is it set in a physical location? When and where?

How will you manage communication through the group?
