Evaluation

Overall as a group the majority of us worked well together and we split jobs into tasks for each individual to balance the workload. Most of us each contributed an idea for each part before deciding on the best idea. Although I was unwell during this project I believe I contributed well to the project. We found because it was such a big group a few people clashed and found it difficult to include everyones ideas.

Overall the finished brand looks professional and works well to meet the requirements of the brief by being intriguing to students, the target audience. Although the workload was balanced between us it is obvious some group members contributed more than others, because they weren't here or other reasons. Even though I missed a couple of days I ensured to keep in contact with my group, got myself caught up in group discussion and always contributed work by working at home if I was too unwell to be in.

I enjoyed the project but perhaps think it would be more effective working in smaller groups as they were a bit large and perhaps this may have been one of the reasons a few group members clashed.

Part 3 : The Presentation

Merchandise & Presenting

On Thursday we focused on our presentation, I completed the design boards whilst Jake and Cara worked on our PowerPoint Presentation, Josh, Selina, Laveeza and Brylle focused on producing mock ups and creating some merchandise.

This included stickers and mock up lanyards and tickets. We worked well as a group to decide which of our ideas worked best to select for our final outcomes. A lot of thought time and effort has gone into our presentation with both a PowerPoint Presentation alongside all of our design boards which also show the development and progress as a group throughout the project.

DESIGN BOARDS

An effective way to demonstrate our development and progress from the beginning of the brief to the final outcome.

POWERPOINT PRESENTATION

Another effective way to show the development of our project to our intended audience - by students for students.

Video Introductions

An effective way to represent our brand instead of advertisements for the film screenings during the festival - in a way it's a way of advertising for our brand.

GIF's

Another way of advertising and promoting our brand digitally can also be seen on Overlay's Social Media page - Instagram.

Part 2 : Screen-Printed Poster

The Process

After deciding upon the best design to rebrand our recommended film 'The Other Side of Hope.' To produce the final outcome of our rebranded poster, we chose to screen print our design. This proved quite difficult for our design but still worked well in my opinion. Below are some images which demonstrate the progress and stages of printing our design.

Part 3 : Overlay

For further research we experimented with different materials and aspects of overlay. This allowed us experiment with media to achieve the same 'quirky' feel of the logo. Our idea was we could possibly use overlay collages as an image for the introduction screen. Below are some examples of existing overlays not done by us but existing artists.

Below are some 'overlay' examples I made before creating a GIF
