Haiku Presentation
"WHAT IF I HAVEN'T CHOSEN THE RIGHT COURSE,
I LOOK SHIT AND TO TOP IT OFF IT'S RAINING!
I HAVEN'T SLEPT SO HOW COME I STILL HAVE A MOUNTAIN OF WORK TO TACKLE?"
As a group we discussed ideas by thinking about objects we associated with certain aspects of each line i.e. sleep we recognise with items such as pillows which we changed into books to represent the work. Our idea was to create a stop motion video in different ways for each line. I think the presentation worked well but was a bit fast, we also should of maybe had the text displayed before the image to give the viewer time to think making the stop motion images have a greater impact. Although I think we could experiment further by adding sound or converting the video to use a filter or using black and white.
FEEDBACK
"Possibly make the writing clearer but don't lose the power of the images."
"Make a sculpture to create a more extravagant representation of "I haven't slept so how come I still have a mountain of work to do." - Sleeping on a table with books again as a pillow or lie down and pile books on top of sleeping person. People could walk round the table with the person sleeping as if this was a real sculpture in a museum.
"It's okay to be more extravagant and funny."
"Consider adding sound."
"Consider adding sound."

AFTER FEEDBACK
After the feedback received I slowed the video and altered the video to have filters. For the second video I reversed the video which also worked well I thought.
Other groups
Favourite groups
I really liked the pace of the two different groups who used balloons to express their idea and present their Haiku. I also loved the "Being Alone" group their simplistic idea was very effective with the sound effects.
These photos show a few of my favourite group videos.
Reflection on the process
I really loved working as a group and I think we did well to come up with unique ideas.
What we did well?
We all worked well as a group and developed good ideas and worked well to communicate and involve everyones' ideas.
What could be done better?
We could have experimented further by adding text filters and possibly sound to see if this produced a more finished better quality outcome.
What have I learnt?
I have learnt to focus more on experimentation and especially focus on effective presentation techniques as presentation is one of the most important aspects and reflects mostly how ourselves and others view our work.
PRESENTATION
Carefully consider more effective presentation techniques to make an impact. As without good presentation it loses value by taking away from a good idea. No matter how good it is. Consider mounting, larger printing, printing in better quality, scale, 3D and or 2D etc.
