Part 3 : Branding & Curation

For the next stage of the brief we will brand and curate 'Graphic Designers on Film' Film Festival.

Deciding a Name

Things to consider:

Name: Overlay
- Synonym for contrast? Divergance
- Shape : Group Poster and minimal theme of the design with quirky colours

What is stands for? Curating the Film Series 
What it's doing? Promoting film series to students
Why? To inspire students 
No Theme/Themes? Quirky or Minimal

- The essence of the film festival 

Purpose 
- For young designers 
- Social 
- Learning 
- For Young designers by Students
- Random selection

- Personality traits 

What is the Festival? 

Quirky & Fun or Minimal

Design : Minimal 
Essence : Fun feel  

Brainstorming 

As a group we started brainstorming ideas by personality words and then words we associated with the original words. This helped us brainstorm colours, layouts and themes we could use to curate and brand the festival.

Using a shape for the brand and sketched or drawn add ons - minimalist shapes

Colour Scheme 

Complementary or contrasting colours?

We also considered using paper card and other materials to create our logo instead of just using the computer straight away.
